Handfastings & Pagan Ceremonies
Discover Cornwall’s beautiful landscape and ancient sites.
This is the best preserved ancient village in Cornwall. There are many different scenic spots for you to have your ceremony in this ‘village’ and we have designed an exclusive 3 part ‘Sacred Energies’ Handfasting Ceremony to make the most of this incredible setting. If you want to find out more about experiencing your own wedding here with us, please get in touch.
Tregeseal Stone Circle
Another favourite of ours, but only for the brave! Fairy Folk, Demons, Devils and ‘otherworldly’ beings are alive and well in the legends of this sacred site covered in prehistoric barrows, burial mounds and megalithic monuments. Perfect for your Halloween Handfasting or Full Moon Wedding Ceremony.
Can you get married on a beach in Cornwall?
Yes with a Celebrant. If you prefer a beach wedding in Cornwall , you have a choice of over 300 beaches. Some are wild and windy, some sheltered and calm, some scenic and accessible and others requiring a climb down slippery cliff paths but they are all stunning in their own way. Our Celebrant-led weddings in a sea-cave are magical, unique and unlike any other ceremony. The sea-cave can be lit up with candles(LED), fire torches or lanterns creating a warm glow reflecting off the rocks.
Sea Cave Wedding Ceremonies
Our unusual secret sea-cave ceremonies are ideal for adventurous couples who want to avoid the crowds.his huge stretch of long white sandy beaches is popular with surfers and families. There is lots of space at low tide so you can always find a quieter spot away from the crowds. This beach has lots of sand dunes, caves and even a lighthouse. The endless beach makes for a great location at sunset for your ceremony or couple pictures.
This beach has been voted one of the best in the world. On a summer’s day the water is a crystal clear turquoise colour and the walk down to the cove offers spectacular views. Once down on the beach you are sheltered by the high cliffs. This location is extremely popular and gets very busy in the holidays so we recommend other beaches in West Cornwall that are quieter for beach ceremonies during the summer months.
“MAGIC EXISTS. WHO CAN DOUBT IT, WHEN THERE ARE RAINBOWS AND WILDFLOWERS, THE MUSIC OF THE WIND AND THE SILENCE OF THE STARS? ANYONE WHO HAS LOVED HAS BEEN TOUCHED BY MAGIC. IT IS SUCH A SIMPLE AND SUCH AN EXTRAORDINARY PART OF THE LIVES WE LIVE.”
― NORA ROBERTS
WANT SOMETHING MAGICAL? WHAT ABOUT GETTING
MARRIED UNDER THE STARS OR FULL MOON?
For those of you looking to have a totally different and very unusual outdoor Wedding in Cornwall, have you thought about our Milky Way and Full Moon Wedding Ceremonies.
Did you know you can have a Celebrant-led outdoor wedding with us under an awe inspiring galaxy of twinkling stars or the Full Moon? This is one of our most favourite types of ceremonies to photograph. Having the chance to whisper your vows to each other under a bamboo teepee with little fairy lights twinkling around it and a blazing fire pit to keep you warm is one of the most
romantic ceremonies to experience. The best month for the Milky Way Weddings is between May to September. Who wouldn’t want to embrace Nature in such an awesome and humbling way! If this is how you would like to commit yourselves to each other, we would love to hear from you.
Our Full Moon Wedding Ceremony will be created around the symbology of the moon phases and what they represent in a relationship. This Ceremony has lots of meaning and magic for couples who follow a nature-based spiritual practice and want a wedding that is authentic for them and their lifestyle.
Want something unique ?
Sea Cave Ceremonies
If you would like to say your vows to each other in a secret, uncrowded location then a Sea-cave, accessible only at low tide and reached by clambering down a cliff path, might excite your adventurous spirits and be just what you’re looking for. Gently illuminated with candles, lanterns or fire sticks, sea caves are one of the most magical and unusual spaces to hold your ceremony in and your photographs will be amazing, unique and unlike anyone else’s.
Shipwrecks & Pirates
Cornwall is well known as a treacherous coastline for shipwrecks, making it a haven for wreckers, smugglers and pirates. There are more than 6000 wrecks around this area. Between Sennen and Lands End, there is a famous shipwreck that, although not very easy to get to, does make a magnificent backdrop for your wedding photographs.
Sea Pool & Mermaid Ceremonies
Have you ever thought about having your outdoor wedding cornwall ceremony in one of our hidden tidal pools. We have a few secret ones, accessible at low tide which during the summer months provide a cool spot for a dip after you’ve said your vows. These ceremonies are unique and unconventional and will appeal to nature-loving couples who embrace the mermaid/merman in themselves
Cliff Castles, Mines and Ruins
All around our Cornish coastline, we have many amazing cliff tops with incredible views where you can have your wedding ceremony. The cliff tops make a perfect spot for a delicious post-ceremony Cornish Hamper picnic to watch the colourful sunset and to celebrate your first night as newly-weds. We can recommend a few scenic mines that are off the beaten track that would be perfect to hold your outdoor wedding Cornwall. Rinsey, Botallack and Redruth have some beautiful ruins to hold your ceremony and if it is showery they can provide some shelter while waiting for the shower to pass.
Woodland Elopement UK
Into the forest I go to loose my mind and find my soul.
Enchanted Forests and wild mossy Woodlands, away from crowds and noise, provide a mystical backdrop to your outdoor wedding that’s totally unique, romantic and stress-free. Cornwall is home to many forests and woodlands for you to choose from. In winter, with shorter days, you can create an incredible and atmospheric ceremony space by hanging lanterns and LED candles from branches to gently add a warm glow and illuminate you and your setting.
